How to make a kite

This summer, I've tried something really cool-- kite-flying! The idea wasn't as fun til I spotted my youngest bro and his friends making their own kites. My boyfriend, childish but cute, found it interesting as well so he searched over the net how to make one.

So we made our own! :)

It's now your turn! Here's how to make a kite:

1. Prepare the following:
a plastic bag
two sticks (the first one, 26 inches long; 2nd, 23 inches)
a string
a masking tape or glue
scissors and a small knife for notches

2. Cut a notch, which will be used for the string, at the end of the sticks.
3. Make a cross using the two sticks, placing the shorter one horizontally.
4. Tie the cross together using the string.
5. Have a piece of string stretched around the kite. Start with the top notch, make sure to wrap the string around the stick. Stretch the sting through the notches and end by wrapping the string well at the top notch. The string frame must not be loose and not so tight.
6. Cut a diamond shape in a plastic bag, as big as the frame, with an inch adjustment. Glue the edges (or you could also use a masking tape).
7. Wrap another string on the bottom notch and have the other end of the string tied on the intersection of the cross. This is where you should attach your string to make your kite fly.
8. Attach a flexible tail out of plastic at the bottom to attain stability. A long tail would be useful if it's windy.
9. Decorate your kite, draw shapes and your desired designs on it. Be creative:)

This is indeed a perfect bonding for the family and couples as well:) <3<3
Definitely, A MUST-TRY!
